Saint Levant

Saint Levant—born Marwan Abdelhamid in Jerusalem on October 6, 2000—has built a career on the kinds of borders most artists never have to think about. A Palestinian singer-songwriter and rapper, he works across languages with a natural, unhurried ease, and that polyglot sensibility is central to his music. He first broke through with 2022’s “Very Few Friends,” a song that turned a quiet intimacy into something larger. From there, touring across the Middle East, Europe, the United States, and Australia gave his catalog a live, transnational pulse.

What makes his writing distinctive is its refusal to sit still. He can shift from a near-spoken verse to a hook with real melodic weight, and his lyrics carry a confessional charge that never tips into the overwrought. There is a romantic streak, a restlessness, and a clear-eyed awareness of being watched—his own name a stage, a flag, and a gesture all at once. The material released through the mid-2020s stretches from sparse, diary-like sketches to fuller productions, yet the voice remains recognisably his: bilingual, poised, and attuned to distance.
