Rico Nasty

Maria-Cecilia Simone Kelly, known professionally as Rico Nasty, is an American rapper and singer who turned self-released momentum into a catalog with its own jagged logic. She began self-releasing while in high school, and by late 2017 had five solo mixtapes behind her. Songs like “iCarly” and “Hey Arnold” earned her a local following on SoundCloud, while 2018 singles “Smack a Bitch” and “Poppin” brought wider recognition.

That attention led to Atlantic Records, which released her sixth mixtape, Nasty (2018). The label also put out Anger Management (2019), her collaborative mixtape with Kenny Beats, and her first two studio albums: Nightmare Vacation (2020), which peaked on the US Heatseekers charts, and Las Ruinas (2022). She later parted ways with Atlantic in favor of Fueled by Ramen and Elektra Records, who released her third studio album, Lethal (2025).

With roots in Largo, Rico Nasty’s discography moves from Sugar Trap 2 and Tales of Tacobella through Girl Crush, A Nasty Summer, and HARDC0RE DR3AMZ (Extended Mixes). It is a run defined by restlessness, volume, and constant reinvention.
