MC Magic

Nogales Hip-hop

MC Magic: biography, discography and legacy in the Genzeta Clips archive.

Marco Cardenas, known as MC Magic, is a Mexican-born American rapper, singer, and songwriter whose bilingual approach—moving between English and Spanish, singing and rapping—has shaped a distinctive voice. His origin is Nogales. In 1990 he launched NastyBoy Records and founded the hip hop group NB Ridaz, initially called Nastyboy Klick. That combination of label-builder and group architect gives his solo work a broader foundation than a typical rapper’s.

His discography traces a steady evolution. Early on, Don’t Worry (1995) announced him as a solo artist. More than a decade later, Magic City (2006) and Magic City, Pt. 2 (2008) framed a prolific period that also included Princess (2008) and the Dancer (feat. Too $hort) EP (2008). In 2010 he released the Welcome to Arizona and Mrs. Delicious EPs, followed by The Rewire (2011) and the Diggin (feat. Lil Cece, Snow White & Twista) EP (2011). Million Dollar Mexican (2014) arrived as a later release. Across these records, MC Magic remains a rare bilingual presence, balancing smooth vocal hooks with rap delivery.
