Master P

Master P is the name that anchored an empire. Born Percy Robert Miller, he launched No Limit Records in 1991, a label he would later steer through relaunches as New No Limit Records and No Limit Forever Records. While his early profile grew as part of the groups TRU and 504 Boyz, his mid-1990s solo breakthrough arrived with the album Ice Cream Man (1996), which carried the name-making lead single. The following year, “Make ‘Em Say Uhh!” went platinum, cementing a moment where his rugged, hook-heavy delivery and relentless independent hustle intersected with mainstream commercial success.

As an actor and entrepreneur, Miller moved fluidly between music and broader business ventures, but the music remained the engine. His discography shows both endurance and revisitation: compilations such as Best Of Master P and MP Da Last Don appeared in 2005, alongside the expanded Ghetto D anniversary editions of 2007. Later efforts, including Only God Can Judge Me (2010) and Empire from the Hood to Hollywood (2015), kept his voice current across shifting industry cycles.
