LUCKI: biography, discography and legacy in the Genzeta Clips archive.

Lucki Camel Jr., recording as Lucki (stylized LUCKI, and previously Lucki Eck$), is an American rapper, record producer, and songwriter from Chicago. He started releasing music as a teenager and first turned heads in the early 2010s through the Chicago platform Elevator, with his 2013 debut mixtape Alternative Trap. That project established what he calls “alternative trap”: sparse, electronic-influenced production set against a subdued vocal delivery and introspective lyricism.

Over the following years, Lucki cultivated a dedicated following through a steady run of independent releases—Freewave, Watch My Back, Body High, and related EPs—rather than relying on major-label machinery. Freewave 3, in 2019, drew widespread critical attention for its stripped-down beats and emotionally candid writing, and Days B4 III, released the same year, became his first project to reach the Billboard 200. A later distribution agreement with Empire brought the Almost There EP and Wake Up Lucki, a collaborative album with producer F1lthy.

The ensuing studio albums mark a clear commercial ascent: Flawless Like Me and Sx Mney Drgs* debuted at Nos. 12 and 15, respectively, Gemini! hit No. 20, and Drgs R Bad*—released in May 2026—secured his first top-ten on the Billboard 200 at No. 9.
