G-Eazy

Gerald Earl Gillum, known professionally as G-Eazy, is an American rapper based in Oakland, California. He began releasing music in 2006 and put out two independent studio albums before signing with RCA Records. His major-label debut, These Things Happen (2014), reached number three on the Billboard 200 and introduced him to the Hot 100 with the triple-platinum single “I Mean It”.

The success continued on When It’s Dark Out (2015) and The Beautiful & Damned (2017), both top-five debuts. Their lead singles — “Me, Myself & I” with Bebe Rexha and “No Limit” with Cardi B and ASAP Rocky — each cracked the Hot 100’s top ten; “No Limit” peaked at number four, remaining his highest-charting song. Later output tells a different story: These Things Happen Too (2021) stalled at number 19, and neither Freak Show (2024) nor Helium (2025) registered on any global chart. Even as the commercial peak recedes, G-Eazy’s catalog traces a full arc from self-released beginnings to major-label heights, with a discography that never stopped moving.
