Doja Cat — born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini — is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Hailing from Tarzana, she first surfaced on SoundCloud with “So High” in 2012. The attention produced Purrr!, a deal with Kemosabe and RCA, and her debut album Amala (2018), whose viral “Mooo!” showcased her humor while leaving her range wide open.

Hot Pink (2019) sharpened that pop-rap balance. “Say So” became her first U.S. Billboard Hot 100 number one, and Planet Her (2021) extended it with “Kiss Me More”, “Need to Know” and “Woman” plus a Grammy. Scarlet (2023) traded gloss for heavier hip-hop and delivered “Paint the Town Red”, her second U.S. No. 1; Scarlet 2 CLAUDE followed in 2024. By 2025’s Vie, she had returned to pop roots.
