Dave Blunts: biography, discography and legacy in the Genzeta Clips archive.

Davion Blessing, known professionally as Dave Blunts, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born July 1, 2000, and originating from Salt Lake City, he began recording and releasing music in 2018. His breakout arrived in 2024, when he started uploading to TikTok and quickly gained popularity; the song “The Cup” became a viral moment on the platform. That same year, videos of him performing while using an oxygen tank spread widely in December, drawing public concern for his health and pushing his profile further into view.

In June 2024, Blunts released his debut studio album, Well Dude Here’s My Thing, followed in October by his second, If I Could I Would. In April 2025, he released his third studio album, You Can’t Say That. Later that year, he worked with Kanye West, writing the majority of West’s unreleased studio album Cuck; he is reported as the sole songwriter on its three singles, “WW3,” “Cousins,” and “Heil Hitler.” In September 2025, Blunts cut ties with West, alleging he was coerced into writing the album’s Nazi-related lyrics.
