DaBaby: biography, discography and legacy in the Genzeta Clips archive.

Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, born December 22, 1991, records as DaBaby, formerly Baby Jesus. From Cleveland, he released mixtapes between 2014 and 2018 before signing with Interscope Records in January 2019. His debut studio album, Baby on Baby (2019), produced “Suge,” a top-ten Billboard Hot 100 hit. Kirk (2019) debuted atop the Billboard 200 with “Intro” and “Bop.” He also appeared on Post Malone’s “Enemies” and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Cash Shit.”

In 2020, Blame It on Baby also topped the Billboard 200, and “Rockstar” (featuring Roddy Ricch) spent seven non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 amid the George Floyd protests. It went quintuple platinum and earned a Record of the Year Grammy nomination. He guested on Jack Harlow’s “Whats Poppin” remix and Dua Lipa’s “Levitating,” both No. 2 hits. After homophobia controversies, he released Better than You with YoungBoy Never Broke Again (2022), then Baby on Baby 2. His fifth album, Be More Grateful (2026), included top-40 single “Pop Dat Thang.”
